Core Strategy Revised Preferred Options
The event is not currently available for consultation.
The Core Strategy document is one of a number of Planning Documents that will make up the North East Lincolnshire Local Development Framework. When adopted, the Core Strategy will be perhaps the most important of these new style documents. It brings together the aims of relevant plans and strategies that are shaping the Borough and provides a framework for future allocations and provides the basis for determining future planning applications.
This consultation invites further comments on a revised version of the Core Strategy Preferred Options. The document has been revised both in terms of its structure and content to address concerns raised in earlier consultation and reflect on the experiences of other councils who have prepared core strategy documents.
The Local Development Framework is significant in providing the essential link between the overall objectives of the Council and its partners and the day to day decision making which will bring them to fruition. It is therefore regarded as a key council document. To ensure that the link is effective it is necessary to ensure that the Local Development Framework properly reflects those aspirations as expressed through the Community Strategy, Local Area Agreements and other Strategies. Whilst this has been a major element of the Local Development Framework work to date, it is important that you, as a consultee; consider the Revised Core Strategy and reflect upon how the document reflects your own aspirations and identified objectives. It is important to remember … … the text in the Revised Core Strategy does not represent the final wording and this is your opportunity to shape the document. You are invited to comment on any aspect of it.
